At the moment I have 5 frames made up from pictures taken from The Clarendon Fine Art Catalogue,
which is given away onboard Cunnard Liners free of charge.
They couldn't afford the originals so they brought the catalogue
to me to frame some of the pictures. Great Idea.

That bench is far too tidy Ricky, unlike mine. I have Junk, more junk, catalogues, screws fixings, more catalogues, pens and tape measures (probably but I can't see them for the junk) and two hand finished frames I made today with lovely oil paintings in them.

By the way are you not ment to join the bits of wood together or have i been doing something wrong for the last 15 yrs :giggle: :giggle: :giggle:

The photo was taken at that most important time of day, The Tea Break.
I finished the job after that

Now you can't blame a worker for downing tools for a cup of tea.

You have inspired me to clear my benches. I have a number of 8x4 benches but strungle to find space to assemble a 20x 16 frame :giggle:

Need to clean my desk as well as the accountant is coming next week and I have got a new computer which I haven't got room for.

Basically the reason my bench is tidy is I only have one, and my entire workspace is only 8ft x 20ft
I have to tidy up after every job otherwise i have no room to work :( as you can see.

I have coming in a small original pen drawing of Wind in the Willows AND Winnie the Pooh in the same picture. It will appear on the Antiques Roadshow in a couple of weeks time where it will be valued at £15,000. Needless to say, I don't have it here - I saw it last week when I measured it up and it taken away again. I'll make the frame and the customer will bring it in for fitting while they wait - for their reassurance as much as mine!

I had a young lass come in a while ago with three WTP original illustrations. At least she though they were original. :P
I had to point out that an illustrator wouldn't normally print on a caption and a page number in the corner.

She's a bit smaller now. I took a pair of scissors to her this afternoon. :? That's my knighthood up the swanee. :Slap:

Now I have a big map to frame.

Image

It's a copy of several Wartime RAF ops maps. Printed on two sheets, each about 36x64". There is about a 2 inch overlap down the middle and yours truly is going to have to cut them down the middle in exact register and join together.

Happy Days. :D

One of my RAF contacts is bringing me an Ops. Map - just hoping it is not that size.

By the way I prefer the look of the other lady in the pictures (the one in the frame)
