Reading the topic about posting a Logan and Strokebloke saying "I'll have to go to the post office to get the price", can I tell you that you can do your own post from home. Or find out the price if thats all you need.
But from this site below you can sign up for doing post from home. You have to make a deposit in advance, but once thats done its pretty straight forward. Good thing is you can then drop the mail into any post box, unless its a parcel too big for a letter box, then just drop it off at PO

I have visited distributors and framers in over 100 countries - no two are the same.

I use royal mail drawbacks are - no point for just letters and you need to take it to a post office for special delivery (recorded my postman will take it and give me a receipt) - you need accurate scales for pacrcels/packages. Has to be posted at the latest the next day - not always convenient for me .
I have used the collect facility from other parcel co's and found them good but usually more expensive than RM
when all is said and done - there is more said than done.

I always as default set the weight to the maximum 31kg non of mine ever are that heavy but just in case i have a set of bathroom scales that give a rough weight.
I always use interparcel as i never have any time to go to the post office.
