I hope you ran after him and told him he can have it framed when he's finished, that's if he doesn't sell it on ebay :lol:

Seriously though, I wonder how many will show up for framing? Would be good to see examples if any do come in.

I don't understand why they're are fetching so much :o there are 8000 of them and apparently cost the runners £215.00 to buy

And cost us £3.2m, What a waste :head: :head: , I thought the whole point of a relay was that you past the baton on after your leg of the race. I hope someone has told the the British relay teams that they have to take the baton off the other runner.

If they are really being sold at £215 and then flogged on ebay for £150k then they ought to make these profiteers give the proceeds back to the taxpayers who are funding the olympics.

I think the one that sold for £150K the proceeds were donated to charity. I doubt that the batons towards the end of the relay will fetch as much.
