Got DAB?

Post by Roboframer »

Digital Audio Broadcasting.

If not you're missing out on BBC 6 music - to think the beeb were going to scrap this station a couple of years ago. It just won the Sony awards best radio station.

You can of course also get it on freeview and the internet. I play it pretty much all day in the workshop - bar for when the odd way-out number, or any rap at all, gets me dashing for the remote. Here's the current record-of-the-week - the volume goes to max every time, and whatever you think of the song, the vid is cool - has to be with Terence Stamp in it! Do I look like a rapper? Do I look like a rapper??? - Nope, don't think so, Tel!!

See that little monk bopping around the other monks? That's me going around my workbemch, that is.

I've only just started listening to Danny Baker on Radio 6 ( 3-5pm ), absolutely hilarious ! Just heard him say that Friday will be his last day until September :( not sure why.
My real name is Adam Laver aka "Adam The Picture Framer", just in case you were unsure ; )

This is the Midlands. DAB is for posh affluent southerners - and anyway most of us cant get past 5 (live) Having listened to Robo's tune I'm glad I haven't got that. Rather have a bit of Van Halen myself. Can't listen at work either or those nasty people from PPL and the other unspeakable bunch would nobble us for a handout for these poor starving artists

We are "lucky" enough to have an iPod jack on our sound system, which means that I bore everyone to death with my Yoko Ono tunes on my iPhone, whilst the younger members of the team bore me to death with their iPhone selections. Today I had to endure Capital FM... which is more than a man of my age can bear.

Strangely my Nina Simone live selection didn't go down at all well. Yoko's none too popular either.

Spotify seems to be increasingly a great way to access music. That is if you can fathom out how to use their app. Which I can't!

I don't have DAB at home, but my TV is used more as a radio than a TV as I tune to a selection of digital stations.
