Name this frame.

Post by Roboframer »

Someone with problems uploading attachments has emailed me these photos to see if I can upload 'em. Pretty sure I know the moulding anyway, no clues. Have not been given a width.

Looks like arqadia 446601000 if its 23 mm or 442601000 if its 40mm

or if he's anywhere near sheffield its part of our new M range of frames we can supply at arqadias list price if he dosn't use arqadia.

Also from Simons 23mm = 5404/6010, 36mm = 54096/6010

There are also 53mm = 5408/6010, 36mm deep rebate = 5412/6010 and a matching slip 5017/6020

I think Wessex and A&T may stock some of these.

Arqadia also do a 39mm curved profile 445 601 000 which I think is exclusive to them but I would be interested to know if any one else stocks this one.

Since it is a simons moulding I would call it Simon :giggle: as for the reference I would have said it was the 5408/6010 as above.

Hi All

The gentleman John posted this request for me. What a good man himself he is.

We are close, it is just the width we need. Is there any chance of scaling it based on a given dimension on the mount? If the amount of mount board showing on the bottom mount was 10mm, I reckon this would make the moulding 40mm - do you agree?

If its the Arqadia one then its the 36mm one. the perspective is not right for the 70mm moulding

Also the print looks like a Waterhouse, which is framed by Washington Green and they use a lot of that one from Arqadia on his work.

No I don't agree! By enlarging the image on my screen using the scroll wheel while holding down Ctrl until the reveal between the two mounts measures 10 mm the moulding then measures 45mm which is not one of the size options in this moulding.

Any chance you can get the customer to measure it?

Thanks Jonny2morsos

I think you have sorted it for me. It must then be the 36mm wide moulding. It the usual case of everything looks bigger than it really is.

Thank you everybody for help and support.
