Laurel leaf frame with carved ribbon corners

This frame, one of a pair, made earlier this year, were made for a portraits and features laurel leaf moulding with carved lime ribbons. As you can see, both the laurel leaf and sight were not centred. The frames were water gilded in 23.75ct gold, light distressing with a light tone. The ribbons were brightly burnished. A brown black medium was applied to the flat.
