**PANIC STATIONS**

Hi there folks,

I hope I find you all well.
I have an urgent issue that I need help with or advice on.
The screw in my morso's sliding stop block has lost the threads to the handle.
It's very stiff and only clicks when I turn it with great force.
Luckily it's not locked into place and can be slid up and down the measuring arm but it cannot be tightened, which is a nightmare when cutting moulding.
I am unsure whether the handle itself comes off as I don't want to risk breaking it completely.

Has anybody else had this problem before and rectified it?
Does anybody even have a spare sliding block that I could purchase?

Thanks in advance guys, desperate to get it back working as I've a couple of deadlines approaching.

R

Any chance of a photo. I'm a bit hazy on which bit has sheared.

As a stopgap you could always use a G-clamp to hold it. Bit of a lash-up, but I sometimes do this when the scale isn't long enough.

You can get one here for £70 quid!
I would use the stop block to measure, then clamp in place at some point along the moulding. That should give you a bit of time to figure out a permanent replacement.

Hi
I guess you have probably got your spare part by now, but if you still need one we have the stop for our model in stock and can send it out ASAP!
It is a different colour to your original stop but it will fit (and is a much more competitive price!). If you need it just send me a message or call us on 01530 516925.
