Just framed one of the usual offerings from DeM/WG and it has quiet a deep paper wrapped fillet.

Wondered how these particular ones are made. I know they are paper wrapped to match the mount as I have done this with foamboard. I have looked through the books to see if I can see anything that resembled it but not come across anything.

Doesn't look like bevel cut foamboard as it has a rounded profile as opposed to a sharpe edge. Also on closer inspection.... mount fell apart when taking out the polybag... fillet has been mitred and V pinned.

Arqadia do a plain wood profile which is rounded on one side and bevelled on the other. These can be painted or paper covered.

Moulding ref is 106 400 000.

Arqadia do the paper in Hayseed and I have a feeling the Rep. told me they are going to do more colours from the mountboard range.

Lion also offer paper covered slips (p71 Lion catalogue)

I think thats the one. Missed that Arqadia offering.... saw the lion ones but they come already wrapped so limited on colours.

Do they cut OK on the Morso when wrapped or is it a special fillet cutter thats needed?

To be honest although I have the samples I have yet to try them and having taken a second look I see there are two thicknesses the other being 102 400 000.

The 102 one is a bit thin.... defo the other one!

They cut OK on the morso. We use the Arqadia combination and the Hayseed comes on a roll with adhesive on the back. I stick the paper to the fillet then cut it to size.

The Vicki Schober company introduced paper wrapped fillets about 25 years ago in the US. The original items were covered in marbleized paper. Last year Crescent Cardboard Company licensed the product and added more solid color items to the line.

The best way of assembly is to miter the corners with a 45°bevel in a pinwheel fashion. Taping the back if the joints.
