A favourite frame made using my " ripple" making equipment. The basket weave "ripple"effect is visible on the flat of the frame. The entire frame has an ebonised finish, very slight distressing and a blend of waxes to finish. Apologies for the photo, doesn't do it justice.

I once had a class on how the old Dutch Ripple frames were made.
Are you using such a machine that uses harmonics to make the design? Or compo designs?
BTY, it looks like a good job.

Hi Jerome,
Thank you for your comments.
I have developed my own device that works well with timber stock to produce ripple moulding. I do not use compo. Usually I work with poplar/tulip but works well with other timbers too. Will have to post other examples in the timber so you can see what effects can be achieved. Hopefully I might market the device next year, lots of framers and cabinet makers I feel would be interested in it. It wont be difficult to use.
