Have a great day. If ever you are in Amsterdam don't miss the Van Gogh museum. We went 10yrs ago when they had a joint Van Gogh and Gaugin exhibition.
Went to the Tate Modern a fews weeks back when visiting my sister in London, what a dissapointment!

A very enjoyable day. I would recommend Van Gogh to Kandinsky-Symbolist Landscape in Europe 1880-1910 to anyone who finds themselves in Edinburgh.
No matter how well you know an image/painting, nothing compares to seeing it for real. I was particularly taken with Wheat Field with a Reaper by Van Gogh and how he describes the painting to his brother in a letter written when he was in an asylum.
I also ended up following Mark Gattis (carrying his Mycroft umbrella) round the gallery!
