I saw Desmond Dekker in what turned out to be one of his last performances.

The venue, a large marquee, was packed. He was in top form, and put on a great show. The Belfast crowd, the vast majority of whom wouldn't even have been born when "The Israelites" was a hit, loved him.

On 6 music Lauren Laverne has a 'peoples' playlist' - asks for requests and compiles them for next day. It's normally quite serious but this week she had a bit of fun and asked for all requests to be on a theme of cats or Lions - re the Essex Lion sighting.

I like that song a lot too ..... but I never knew it was by Deee Lite - not that I've ever bothered to find out who it's by - or have ever heard of Deee Lite before! - I always assumed it was by Betty Boo!!!

So - some Betty Boo anyway.
