Hi all, I’m new to this forum and hoping for a bit of advice… I have a couple of large posters I need to frame (30”x40” mounted onto foam board).

They are to be framed without a window mount, but I would like to distance the artwork from the glazing (without the distance being too visible).

I have looked at using paper covered slips used on the narrow, but these extend further than the rebate. Just wondering if anyone had any tips on other products or materials.

Econospace is good or you can make your own spacers using foamex or sticky board covered with a suitable colour of mountboard, stuck to the side of the rebate.

Wessex (and probably others) do some neat square sections. (They call them 'fillets', but I don't. ). They come in plain, black and white.

The smallest is 1/4" square. For a 40x30 that is the minimum spacing IMHO. 3/8 would be better.
