timber & oil ~ adhesives & oil, generally are not compatible.
It's slightly more expensive, but I lube all of my machines with silicone spray.
It doesn't mark the timber and forms a longer lasting film of lube on mechanical moving parts
I use 3 in One
It's relatively priced; it's easily available at most motor shops ( incl. Halfords)
And it works
I'm sure there are other brands out there. Any will probably work as well as the 3 in One
I used to use GT85 which is a teflon lubricant spray. I now use a similar, but cheaper product in a smaller can, which is more convenience because the hardware shop across the road sells it. I also use the same stuff on the CS-88 from time to time.
I'm not very good at remembering to lubricate things at the correct intervals. I just lubricate it when it feels a bit stiff like it's time to give it a shot.
Come on, be honest! Who is there who lubricates their morso every two weeks? Certainly not me, more like every couple of months. Mind you these teflon lubricants last a long time!

“Life is short. Art long. Opportunity is fleeting. Experience treacherous. Judgement difficult.”
― Geoffrey Chaucer
I lubricate when I hear a squeak, so, just the foot pedal then!
I know I should do it as per the manual at regular intervals, but my morso; like most I suppose, is not in the middle of the floor, it's against a wall and the back is not easily accessible ... like the foot pedal is.
I used to have to move the Morso to clear out the shavings ... and that would be left until there was so much that the blades wouldn't go all the way down .... and while I had it out I actually would give all the points a quick clean/re-lube. But now I have a 'fire grate' system where I can get all the shavings out from the front and all the moving bits haven't been even looked at since I broke/replaced a spring.
