Birds Eye Moulding

Post by Keith »

Hi

I'm looking for a 1.5 to 2 inch wide bird’s eye maple moulding. I've looked at the usual suppliers but 1 inch seems to be the max.
Anyone used, or know of a supplier that can help please.

Thanks Keith

Hi Keith,

Check out the Rose & Hollis plain wood mouldings catalogue. They've got three widths of Unstained birds eye maple veenered mouldings. BE225 is the biggest at about 60mm wide.

Renaissance have a range of b/e maples - A&T 40.A.4 is 40mm wide - bit shallow for my liking - but looks ok made up. Renaissance is the best and they go up to about 700mm wide - in dark and light finishes.

Rose and Hollis do a couple of unfinished maples. they can be a bit long winded to finish well.
