I've got a glossy photo to frame, 30cm x 40 cm. It's been tightly rolled up so I'm wondering about flattening it out a bit before framing .Any suggestions?
Dry mounting is a good idea, but you can use self adhesive boards instead although I would always use the former.
To flatten curled up prints I place a weight (a box of underpinner wedges) on each corner for a couple of days or more.
Every order we take is placed flat in folders we make, one of the few advantages of having a 2 week lead time is when they are removed from the folders they are flat.
Some have mount board, some have acid free tissue, some are made from the fluted plastic stuff I forget the name of, depends what the Item is. we also make boxs for any stretched canvas we get in, the order form/ticket is then stuck to the front, we have 6 shelves (made from fire doors so quite big) named Monday to Saturday, we then know which shelf it's on from the date on the ticket.
