Big Thank you to D&J Simons

Post by Steve N »

I had a problem with a batch of moulding, been damaged in transit plus some had a twist along the length :head: , sent a email to my rep (Dave) yesterday, mid morning, he came in to have a look yesterday afternoon to have a look,he had already ordered replacement moulding on overnight, which arrived this morning. Each length of moulding had been unwrapped and inspected and then re-wrapped in white poly foam, and it was all 100% perfect   .

I just wanted to say a big thank you to them for how they handled this matter, nothing was to much of a problem, one of the reasons why I have them as my number one supplier

Good to hear, nothing worse than rejecting a faulty item and then receiving the same thing again.

Hmmm, I do find them good but then there's times where I do despair - things like credits take a lot of work (from me) and other little things that just annoy me. It's like if I order something, well that's normally straightforward but if I need anything else, well that takes numerous phone calls/texts/emails and sometimes I just give up and get sorted somewhere else. I've seen prices vary, no easy way to check stock, orders arrive missing items. It's nothing personal against the staff, they're always pleasant & polite, I like the rep but........ I still have a business to try and run - I'm not their mate, I'm a paying customer. Whatever internal systems, policies & procedures etc etc they have might need a bit of work. Maybe I'm wrong here but my opinions are based on nothing but my own personal experience. I'm still waiting on a few samples I asked for at the NEC :head: :head:

I do find Arqadia much easier to work with, I can't remember one occasion where a simple phone call sorted everything.

When I have had to ask for one, I find it is processed very quick

Last time I saw my Arqadia rep was the last time they were at the Spring Fair, ordered some samples, wrong ones came..........

We all have different stories to tell about our suppliers, I didn't start this thread as a supplier bashing thread, I just wanted to say thank you for the great service I received :D

Hey Steve - I completely agree, if it came across as a bashing session I really do apologise. I have good and bad stories but I reckon I only remember the bad ones

BTW - I have never seen my arqadia rep

Great to hear that you were able to get your issue sorted. It really lifts the spirit when things can be like this!
