Dry mounting

Hi,
Our supplier has changed the usual adhesive boards we use to dry mount and we are having nothing but problems with air bubbles etc.
Looking for any advice or suggestions for adhesive boards to maybe help combat the problem or even what machine would be best to purchase as we do quite a lot of large photos.
Any help is appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Sticky boards where the photo is set with a hand roller are prone to bubbling, in fact it's almost a
certainty. The bond is pressure sensitive and you need a roller press to even stand a chance.
You just can't get enough
even pressure down by using a hand roller.
A heat press is more expensive and takes up a lot of space but it will do a more permanent and reliable job.

I love the Hotpress but you are limited by the size of it's bed. If space was no issue I'd get a full size Drytac Jetmounter. Size is unlikely to be an issue with that.

This was what I thought may be the case. Looks like a heat press it is. Thanks for the reply

Yes, very easy to use.
We had both Hotpress and Jetmounter. Now sold the Hotpress as we just very rarely used it. The Jetmounter gets used regularly and we wouldn’t be without it.

We had an HGP360, and quickly switched to a JM44 jet mounter. I can flood coat a case of 1000x1400 kapamount in around an hour, including trimming excess and repackaging.
The larger machines have a take up reel, which is very useful for laminating, as you can run cleanly, in a pseudo roll to roll set up.

The cold weather doesn't help with self adhesive boards either.
