Gaps on aluminium

Hello hive mind,

I am putting together a largeish (900x715) Lion 9711 black aluminium chop and I've got gappy joins. I stopped using it because of this, but this customer insisted on the skinny as possible look.

I just wondered, has anyone worked out a clever trick to close the mitre on this profile?

I've checked and the package isn't too big, plenty wiggle room, no reason on my side why it doesn't hold tight, as far as I can see.

Thanks,
Megan

If the gaps are at the top of the joint, which I am thinking, you might have the hardware "L" upside down. This could be by simple error of the screws being inserted incorrectly. The crown of these "Ls" could be increased (bent) to increase the pressure toward the top of the frame.
