Well I am rather proud of myself. I got one of these car phone warehouse people to hang up on me. :)

She wanted to speak to the person who dealth with the telephone bill, when I asked who was calling she wasn't too keen to give her name, but did, I then asked why she was calling, to which she answered - 'you're phone is about to be disconnected, just get who deals with the bills' I then said OOOOh , the phone went dead.

Made my day. :twisted:

John,

I loved that link, so did my wife, she can do that without laughing - I can't!

How do you get a link into the word 'here' like you did?

I can do it on The Grumble but have not worked it out here!

I'm gonna put that link on TG - maybe most would have heard it, but I don't care - I LOVE IT!!!!

John, here is how to associate the URL with some text using BBCode.

Code: Select all

[url=http://cdbaby.com/cd/florentine2]Terrorizing Telemarketers 2[/url]
Result from the above code: - Terrorizing Telemarketers 2

You can also combine BBCode tags. Here we alter the font size and colour.

Code: Select all

[url=http://cdbaby.com/cd/florentine3][size=18][color=red]Terrorizing Telemarketers 3[/color][/size][/url]
Result from the above code: - Terrorizing Telemarketers 3

You can even create a clickable image by combining the URL and IMG tags.

Code: Select all

[url=http://cdbaby.com/cd/florentine4][img]http://scenes.biz/images/phone.jpg[/img][/url]
Click on the image for even more Jim Florentine: Image

Many of you may have heard on the news this morning of J.S.Phillips and their share and fund scams. They are just one of many that are targeting businesses and individuals via information in the public domain, both here and in the USA.
We have periodically had these by letter and more often by phone. They are extremely persistent and very plausible. We have had most phone approaches from the US; very hard sell. The only remedy is to cut them off and contact the FSA.

The other pain is the telecoms sellers; very distant voices from the sub-continent. Always know the billpayers name. Same treatment.
Our phones in the gallery and at home are covered by the telephone preference service TPS. Cuts out a lot of c**p. Well worth registering, but dosn't eliminate all.
